Chelsea began the new season of the English Premier League by defeating its host Everton, with a goal without a response, on Saturday evening, at Goodison Park.

The first attempt in the match came in the 6th minute for Chelsea, through a foul by James, sending a cross that Coulibaly followed with a header, which Pickford grabbed.

Godfrey was injured in a challenge with Haveritz, and after a fall that lasted for nearly 7 minutes on the field, he left the match and was replaced by Holgate.

Chelsea returned to form the danger again in the 19th minute, with a powerful ground shot from Mont on the edge of the area, and Pickford starred in addressing it.



And the first appearance of Everton in the match came in the 24th minute, with Tarkovsky rising from a cross with a strong header, Mendy shining in deporting it to a corner.
