Valverde: I don't have to talk about Barcelona
Fede Valverde, Real Madrid's star, spoke about Real Madrid's preparations for the new season, after winning a two-goal friendly match against Juventus.
Valverde said, in comments highlighted by the Spanish newspaper "Marca": "The important thing about the Juventus match is that it helps us to raise the pace and improve physically and technically. This is what will give us fuel throughout the year."
He added, "There is a constant improvement from week to week. We did not have a rhythm in the Clasico, and now the situation is different."
The Meringue lost to Barcelona in a friendly 1-0 as part of the preparations for the new season.
On playing in the right wing position, he commented: "It is not the best version of Fede, but it is good. I have the coach's confidence and encouragement of the whole team."
He continued: "Every player in the team trains to the best of his ability. Colleagues who have won many titles continue to aim for more and give a message to the youth."
On Barcelona's reinforcements, he said: "I'm a Real Madrid player, I don't have to talk about them. But they are Barcelona and they will always have a team that fights for everything."
About Casemiro, Kroos and Modric's trilogy, Valverde said: "They are great .. I try to be a part of them, because I learn a lot."
