Manchester United target Real Madrid star :
According to press reports, on Sunday evening, Manchester United are turning their attention to contracting a Real Madrid star, amid an expected competition for the player's services from neighboring Liverpool.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United seem ready to make an offer for Spanish winger Marco Asensio.
Asensio, 26, is left in the current contract with Real Madrid, and the Royal Club will be keen to sell it, refusing to give in to the player's increasing demands for a high wage during the discussions of the new contract.
However, Real Madrid still want £34m in exchange for Asensio, who recently sacked his agent.
Asensio participated in the preparations for the season under the leadership of coach Carlo Ancelotti in the United States, and scored a goal last night against Juventus (2-0).
