Manchester City renews its star within days
An English press report confirmed today, Tuesday, that Manchester City star Phil Foden has agreed to sign a new contract with the club, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium for 6 new seasons, starting from the new season.
Foden, 22, is a graduate of the Manchester City academy, and now he is one of the first-team stars that coach Pep Guardiola mainly depends on.
According to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, it is expected that Manchester City will announce the renewal of Foden at the end of this week, or early next week.
And the newspaper added, Foden will sign a contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium for six seasons, and his weekly salary will rise from 30,000 pounds to 225,000 pounds.
After renewing his contract, Foden will become one of the highest paid young players in the world.
