Argentine coach Diego Simeone will face a complicated task when his team Atletico Madrid receives Manchester City, next Wednesday evening, at Wanda Metropolitano, in the Spanish capital, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship.

Atlético lost the first leg with a clean goal at Al Ittihad Stadium, in a match that did not witness any attacking presence for Simeone's battalion, as his team failed to shoot any ball against City's goal throughout the match.

Simeone was subjected to severe criticism, due to the exaggerated defensive playing method that he relied on against the attacking Flood City.

But the Argentine coach refused to give up, and confirmed in his statements after the match that he would work to harm Pep Guardiola's team in Madrid.

Simeone will rely on a terrifying scenario to achieve a return against Manchester City, which is to score an early goal in Ederson's net, to return him to the match, and then maintain it by securing the defensive areas and waiting to reach the penalty shootout or kidnapping a second goal.

The Madrid fans will be a very important factor in Simeone's plan, to support the team at home against Manchester City, which Simeone described as perhaps the best team in the world.
